Soul Surfer

Young Bethany Hamilton is a surfing champion at age thirteen before things take a turn for the worse when her left arm is taken by a shark one day while surfing with her best friend. This movie is inspirational. It teaches audiences that when we fall, we have the choice whether or not to get back up. Bethany takes her injury and puts it to the best use possible, helping others, and believing in herself.

I highly recommend this movie to all ages.

Mars Needs Moms

Hey,

Young Milo disobeys his mom and makes life impossible for her. One night, after a fight, Milo spots his mother being stolen away by aliens. He gets caught on the spaceship and is flung into a whirlwind adventure. With the help of an alien and another stranded human, Gribble, Milo chases after his mom before it's too late.

Went to see this movie and I can honestly say that it was no masterpiece. The effects were good, don't get me wrong, but the story line was so predictable. Probably a movie for younger audiences, from 6-10 probably.

Go watch it if you have younger children or if you want your kids to listen to you.

I watched Hop the day it came out. It's the classic story of a young bunny who doesn't want to be the Easter Bunny, even though the job has been handed down through his family for over four hundred years. He decides to run away to where dreams come true; Hollywood. There, he meets Frank O'Hare, a man in his late twenties that is already experiencing a midlife crisis, seeing as he has not place to live, no job, and no money. When EB comes crashing into his life, the results are disastrous but have a weird twist on things.

Watch this movie to see the end. I really liked this movie. Though, it's more for younger audiences, it can be very funny, with jokes that will make you laugh for hours. Though the ending was predictable, they added a fun twist with musical score.

Go watch the movie, I recommend it.

True Grit

Hey,

Another pretty good movie was True Grit. It was a western film , with actually good effects, unlike those old ones that were just horrible. In this movie, a young girl goes in search of her father's killer with the help of a Texas Ranger and a US Marshal. Though the story was a little slow in the middle and the ending was corny and unnecessary there were some moments where you couldn't stop laughing. Overall, a good film, not the best I've seen, but pretty good.

Gnomeo & Juliet

A recent movie was Gnomeo and Juliet. This movie is adorable. A modern spin on a classic tale that is enjoyable for all ages. The story line is mainly the same, as are the characters, though some are missing, like Mercutio. But other than that, it is a delightful watch for you entire family, was funky Elton John music.

With his band of loyal friends and geeks, Jake sets out to save the Na'Vi people, after being adopted as one of them and becoming one of the people, when Colonel Quarich and Parker decide to bomb Home Tree to continue mining.

Review

This movie is predictable. There I said it! Everybody is thinking it! It's the same plot line and the Disney movie, Pocahontas. it is too predictable. Hopefully, James Cameron with think of a better story line next time since he is planning on a sequel. There is one thing I will give him major props for. It's the over all movie effects. They are extraordinary! Many people thought that he used costumes to make the Na'Vi, but it was all computer generated. Very good job.

I give this movie... 4.5 stars

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

When i saw this movie, the beginning i didn't like. It was too cheesy and Lucy was so desperate to be like Susan or loved at least, it was rather pathetic. The effects and boat during the rest of the movie were excellent. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that loves adventure, mystery, action, and slight romance.
